AFD CSD Canteen Online Portal launched by Canteen Stores Department (CSD) which is functioning under the Ministry of Defence. Total 34 Area Depot and 3794 Unit Run Canteen (URC) are controlled by CSD. The CSD provides a huge number of products including AFD items (Against Firm-Demand). A huge number of Military Persons buy many items every month. But as we all know that Military Persons have not much time to buy products for their personal uses. So, CSD launched a new portal to sell all the AFD items. The new portal named AFD CSD Online Portal and the official website is https://afd.csdindia.gov.in/.
CSD AFD Portal Registration Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria For Car Purchase
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) & Widows (As applicable) Pay Level 3A to 6
You can buy your first car after minimum five years of service. And the second car you can buy it after Retirement. The minimum gap between purchase of two cars should be 8 years. For Widows, if the late husband purchased 2 cars then the widow will not be eligible to buy any new car. If late husband had purchased only one car, then she can buy 2nd car through CSD after a gap of 8 Years from 1st car purchase date.
Note – Cost of Car come within Rs. Six Lakhs excluding taxes.
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) and Widows as applicable Pay Level 7 to 9
If you are in this group, then you can buy 3 cars. You can purchase first car after minimum five year of service. And second car can be purchased when you are promoted as JCO. And third car can be purchased after retirement. Gap between the purchase of two cars should be 8 years. For Widows, if the last husband had purchased a car each while in service as well as after retirement then the widow will not be eligible to buy a car. In case late husband had purchased car (s) only while in service, then widow can buy one car through CSD after a gap of Eight years from the date of last purchase.
Note – Cost of Car come within Rs. Seven Lakhs excluding taxes.
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) and Widows (as applicable) Pay Level 10-18
Military persons who come in this group can purchase a car Once in Eight years.
Note – Cost of Car come within Rs. Rs.15 excluding taxes.
- Serving Civilian Officers (Paid out of Defence Estimates) in Pay Level 11 to 18)

The following category of canteen smartcard holders are authorized for other AFD-I items:-
- Armed Forces personnel (Serving & Retired).
- Civil Defence Employees (Serving only).
- Gap between purchase of same item / two wheeler to be of minimum four years from the date of last purchase.
